But what about the comments on the evening news? or the newsflashes in my head!

O the confusion of our minds... our thoughts...
The evening news... the brilliant talking heads...
News headlines... ideas... fears... hopes...
my neighbors comments... my stomach ...
my heart palps... the weather... that person who
cut me off this morning on the way to the office...
I like chocolate... I don't like chocolate...
what does Suzie have to say? Ben Stein?
that scary guy on tv... that cheerful guy on tv...
etc etc etc... Buddhists call this the monkey mind.
Its that constant stream of useless transitory info
and thought that is of absolutely 0 value.
We need to turn that off, but how you might ask?
Dont try, don't not try, allow all these worthless tidbits
to come and go and give them no meaning. Let them be as
the ember that lept from the fires but you simply quickly
knocked off. If you do this then these transitory
"important headlines" will not control your life nor ruin
your wealth. News has no value, it's only price and its trend
that has any mean at all, for this is what we affix our attentions to
and let the news flow in and flow out. For there will always be
news and there always has been, but thru it all
the cream will rise and the best companies shares tend
to rise.... and rise some more :)
